Greg was born in Mattoon, IL in 1956 and has lived in central Illinois for most of his life. His educational background includes graduating High School in Monticello , IL (1974); a B.S. in Computer Management from Eastern Illinois University (1978) and a M.A. from EIU in Speech (1993). Greg has been married to his wife Bonnie for 45 years. They have two boys; Andrew and Alexander. Greg began is preaching career in 1980 as the Youth Minister for the Sunnyside Rd. church of Christ in Decatur.
After leaving youth ministry, he has preached for the Northeast church of Christ in Sentinel, OK and the Lake Land church of Christ in Mattoon, IL. He returned to the Sunnyside Rd. church in 1997 and preached there until his retirement from full-time ministry in 2009. While with the Lake Land and Sunnyside congregations there were several years that he served as both preacher and elder. For many years Greg was camp director and served on the board of Illinois Christian Camp. He has regularly helped with Exhibit Evangelism at the Illinois State Fair, Springfield, IL. Part of Greg’s 29 year, full-time ministry, also included radio and television work, and writing a weekly newspaper article.
He is an author with four books in print; The Three Worlds of Eternity (2001), Victory Assured! (2009), The Persuasive Pulpit (2020) and The Simple Church (2024). Greg is now fully retired and continues to serve in the Lord’s church by teaching Bible classes and doing some fill-in preaching. His hobbies include golf, reading, and this webpage!

Andrew was born in Decatur, IL in 1982. He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in Warrensburg, IL in 2001 and received a BS in Computer Information Science at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN in 2005. He is a database programmer for Lewisville ISD. Besides working with databases Andrew loves preparing detailed Bible study material and uses it to teach at Garden Ridge Church of Christ in Lewisville. Andrew has 4 boys; Leighton, Bram, Watson, and Kendal Swango. His hobbies include gaming (board, computer, and video), golf, and tennis. His biggest passion is studying church history, specifically between the years 75 and 325 AD.

Alex was born in Hobart, OK in 1984. He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School (2003) and holds a Bachelor’s of Ministry (B.MIN) from Harding University (2007). He has worked as youth minster for the Highway Church of Christ in Sullivan, IL and the Sunnyside Road Church of Christ in Decatur, IL. He also spent two years in Peterhead, Scotland ministering with the church there (2009-10). Alex currently lives in Arcola, IL with his wife, Erika and their sons, Connor (2014) and Caleb (2017) and Colin (2019). He is the preacher for the Kemp church of Christ in Kemp, IL. Alex’s hobbies include, singing/songwriting and running.
